New York

A little while ago, my family and I went to New York City. When we arrived at the airport in New York, we caught a taxi to the the hotel.
When we reached the hotel, we had to dump our bags down as we were a few hours early and we started walking down the streets, looking at the shops and fountains. We took many photos and reached the Rockefeller Building. This was where we paid for tickets to look at the 'top of the rocks deck observation'. We could see as far as the Statue of Liberty on one side of the building. I also saw the Empire State Building, Central Park and the many other surrounding buildings.

After that, we had lunch at McDonalds. When we finished, we walked back to the hotel and settled in our rooms.

Later that day, we walked down to Central Park. There were great big rock formations and possessed many of nature's beautiful gifts. We walked across a pretty wide bridge, with vines in which grew down the sides. The bridge was built across a lovely lake. We saw many squirrels in which bounced across the grass and ran up the trees. We also stopped at a little park where water fountains sprayed everywhere and there were slides and climbing things.

After walking through Central Park, we looked at a city temple and walked past the fountains. From there, we went shopping for food and walked through Times Square, back to the hotel.
Times Square!

The next day, we went on a boat tour, and looked at the Statue of Liberty from on board. It was really cool.
Ashton had a picture of Elmo!

The next day, my dad and I walked to the UN Building ( United Nations). We went on an audio tour around the building, through different rooms where meetings are held and rooms with things on display. We were given a device in which talked to us through the speaker, in stead of having a real person talk to us. I would have preferred a real person talking to us., because we had to hold the device up to our ears the whole time.
After that, we walked back to the hotel and my whole family and I took the subway and went to the American Museum Of Natural History. This was where Night At The Museum was filmed! It was really cool. My favourite rooms were the MASSIVE hall of wild animals and the rooms of minerals and gems. It was amazing looking at the beautiful colored rocks.

After that, we took a van back to the airport and flew back to Florida!

DOWNTOWN DISNEY

Hey everyone! Yesterday, my family and I drove to downtown disney. My cousin and Poppy came as well. There were so many enormous disney shops and cafes.
One highlight of the day was looking at the LEGO displays. There was a huge Buzz Lightyear and Woody made out of millions of tiny pieces of lego. It was amazing to see how much effort was put into the lego displays. Their was also a HUGE dragon made out of tiny pieces of lego. there was also another huge lego dragon in the lake, popping its long neck out with its tail sticking out the other direction. It was amazing!!! People can be so clever and creative. they put so much detail in the wonderful sight! Inside the lego shop, were hundreds of different colored lego pieces sorted into little containers which ran up and down the walls.
Later that day, We bought an 'icy', which is called a slushy in Australia. I chose an apple flavored one, but as it melted, I could taste the juice more and it was TOOOO SWEET! It was so SUGARY!!! I couldn't bare it so I chucked it out. Everyone else thought it was disgusting as well. The cups were HUGE!! And they were only three dollars each! WHAT A GREAT PRICE! We looked around other shops and one of them happened to be where you can design your own disney T-shirt. there were many touch screens set up in the shop where you designed the colours and pictures. There was disney music in the air! There was also a gorgeous chocolate shop! A lady was awning out samples and the chocolate tasted beautiful and delicious. It was so creamy and melted in your mouth. There was also a guy dancing on a massive stage, entertaining the many kids.
Throughout that afternoon we took many photos.
At the end of the day, we arrived home late and got ready for bed.
